Launch Event for UN Women


On February 24, 2011, UN Women, the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, celebrated its launch at UN Headquarters in New York. Luminaries from the worlds of politics, entertainment, business, civil society, the media, music and film packed the UN General Assembly.
