Ellen Seiter is a Professor in the School of Cinema-Television, University of Southern California, where she holds the Stephen K. Nenno Chair in Television Studies. Seiter specializes in audience analysis, children and consumer culture, and the connections between television and new media. She is the author of The Internet Playground (Peter Lang 2005) Television and New Media Audiences (Oxford 1999) and Sold Separately: Children and Parents in Consumer Culture (Rutgers 1993). Before joining the USC faculty, Seiter held faculty positions at Indiana University, the University of California at San Diego and was a Fulbright Senior Scholar at the University of Tuebingen, Germany.
