ABOUT Young Women from Teen Voices
Teen Voices is an intensive journalism mentoring and leadership development program for teen girls in Boston that creates an internationally distributed print and online alternative magazine reaching 54,000 readers and with 7.2 million hits from 98 countries. Founded in 1988 by two young women who believed in the power of girls to create social change through writing and art, the organization’s goal is to encourage teen girls around the world to use their skills to speak out on issues, create positive and powerful media, and lead change in their communities.
