Norma Pecora (Ph.D. communication research, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, M.A. (communication science) and B.A. women’s studies, Governors State University) is associate Professor at the School of Telecommunications, Scripps College of Communication, Ohio University. Her research interests include children and media, issues of gender, theory and methodology. Her publications include: The Changing Face of Children's Television in "Thinking Outside the Box: A Contemporary Television Genre Reader" (2005); A Disney Dialectic:The United States with Meehan in Dazzled by Disney, (Wasko & Meehan, 2000) and many articles in numerous scholarly and professional journals.
