As one industry watcher notes, it's a trend that needs to happen on both a cultural and industry level to advance gender equality and decapitate the myth that girls are less capable or less important than boys. During their visits to local schools, the guest mentors gave brief presentations on their backgrounds and then participated in a question and answer session with students.
